The individuals in the clinical trial that followed a balanced dietary plan, which included Sweet & Balance desserts with low Glycemic Index and low Glycemic Load up to 4 times per week, showed better and easier adherence to the dietary plan, while significant weight loss was noted, 3 kilograms on average. An improvement in glycemic control was also achieved since there was a reduction in the level of both fasting and postprandial glucose levels as well as in HbA1c values.  In addition, there was a significant reduction in blood pressure and improvement in biochemical markers of liver steatosis.
